Spring Kick Starters

Summer will be upon us in the blink of an eye so we wanted to share our tips on how to use the coming few months to kick into gear and shed that extra “comfort” layer we may have developed over winter.
Add Super Elixir Greens to your daily routine
Beloved by everyone from co-founder Elle Macpherson to Bobbi Brown and Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Super Elixir is our health supplement of the moment and we recommend adding it to your daily routine.
Combining 45 natural ingredients including wholefoods, herbal extracts, vitamins, minerals and probiotics, Super Elixir helps support gut health, provides immune support and enhances energy. We know we just used a lot of buzz words there but trust us, it’s the Rolls Royce of health supplements and it will keep your engine running smoothly… *wink*
For ease, try adding it to your morning smoothie. The following is our not-so-secret brekky fave:
- 2 tsp Super Elixir Greens
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 cup firmly packed spinach
- 1 heaped scoop of Welleco Nourishing Protein Vanilla
- 250 - 300ml of Almond Milk/Coconut Milk or Water
Pro tip: We like to use frozen fruit as it makes the smoothie nice and thick!
Drop some colour into your typically black wardrobe
We are all guilty of this… I mean come on, black is just the easiest to wear (and slimming)! But as the days warm up and the sun starts to shine a bit more, why not add a bit of colour?
Jaggad and Alo Yoga have just dropped some super cute pastel pieces that we are pairing with our black leggings or blue jeans and Supergas to brighten up our look.

Spice up your workout routine
Like clockwork, we all tend to slack off a bit when it comes to exercising during winter. It’s raining, it’s cold, it’s dark, it’s not fun… but as summer approaches, why not kick start your fitness by trying something new! We find it helps us get moving if we mix up our normal routine and recruit a friend to join us.
Have you ever tried pilates, group fitness or running?
Running can be a farfetched concept to some but we stumbled across the ‘Couch to 10k Runner’ app which has interval style training to literally take you from a walker to a runner in no time. Chuck on your fave runners, make a fun playlist, press start and you’re off.
If you know running will never be your thing, there are SO MANY pilates and group fitness studios across Perth so it won’t be hard to find one near you.
Some group fitness studios that we constantly get told about are, of course, our guys at Boom Fitness in East Fremantle and Scarborough, Renouf Fitness South Perth, S30 Perth CBD, Bike Bar in Claremont and Eat the Burn Group Fitness & PT in Forrestdale.
Pilates studios we love are Reformed Pilates Co Perth in Applecross, Core Focus Pilates in Subiaco and Dalkeith and The Pilates Lab Perth in Scarborough.
